When I am not making jewelry I am usually reading. I read just about anything I can get my hands on. Two Christmases ago my mother-in-law in North Carolina gave me "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini, his very first novel. It was so great and I also enjoyed the movie a few months ago.This Christmas she sent me back to Texas with "A Thousand Splendid Suns" also by Khaled Hosseini. I read it and cried and cried and just couldn't stop reading or crying! What a fabulous book!
I highly recommend that you go get this book right now if you like to read! You will not be disappointed!

Is it as good as Kite Runner? I liked Kite Runner quite a lot.
Yes, it is as good and in some ways better.
I will warn you, you will get so frustrated for the characters!

Reading The Kite Runner right now...I've had it on my stack of "To Read" for about a year; I just wanted to wait until all the hype was over (I'm pathetic like that LOL). I hear nothing but good things about both of his books. I'm also getting ready to read The Book Thief, which has also been in the To Read pile since last Christmas.
That makes total sense, I was so glad I read "The Kite Runner" before the hoopla started!
I will have to check out "The Book Thief", thanks for the tip!
