Playing with copper...

I have finally re-opened my shop and added some new things! The copper cuff shown above is one of them.

I love experimenting with alternative metals, so today I took out a sheet of copper and went to work. I am very pleased with the finished product and I hope you are too!

Diamond In The Rough - Sterling Silver Bangle

Sorry, but this bangle makes me sing! I just love it!

I formed this bangle from solid sterling silver and then textured it all over by hand. The end result reminds me of a rough diamond. She just shimmers and shines in the light!

Wordless Wednesday

Dream of a little hope and love....

I love these sweet little charms. They are sterling silver and heart shaped and feature dyed fresh water potato pearls. I have pearls in cream, purple, mauve, and aqua.

I have hand stamped these hearts with DREAM, HOPE, and LOVE and have put some on sterling chains for sale in my shop. These are really fun because you can mix it up with whatever pearls or words you want!

Well, the weekend is already gone and Monday is here again. So much to do, so little energy.

My jealousy has been sparked by watching this sleeping cat. The only thing he has to do is get up to eat and then find a new sleep position. Oh to have that life!

No time like the present....

Actually, to me, time is a present. Fortunately for me, I spent all of yesterday cleaning my house from top to bottom. There is nothing left to be done. Nothing at all. Well, until it all starts over again, right?

So today is free day for me. Yes, I do need to run some errands and continue my starring role as wife and mother, but other than that it is STUDIO DAY!

I am very excited about this because, as you may have seen in my previous post, I attempted my first bezel setting. I can't wait to see if I can do it again! It is all I thought about as I was on my hands and knees yesterday, scrubbing the tile. Wooohooo!

If you know me, you know I love to just create.

And did I mention I am serving leftovers for dinner? Sometimes it is great to be me :)

Metal Mouth!

Ah! My baby, who is 12, just got his braces on today!

He was so nervous, but he did just fine. Now I have to find a whip so I can stand behind him and make sure he brushes his teeth 4 times a day!

Now I need to work that torch even harder to pay for these things! And boy, do I feel like a soccer mom :(

Today is the big party day--Woot! I hope everyone has a very fun and very safe New Year's Eve!

I bought a little dress, some strappy shoes, and even a swanky wrap ;) Needless to say, I am ready to have a great time!

The Day Before New Year's Eve....

And I finally worked something new into the shop before 2009! Yay!

These are fabulous! They are the Chelsea hoops - LARGE and in charge. They are about 2 and 1/4" across, but have posts so they are sturdy in your ears.

Twas the night before Christmas......and I am still at work--ACK!

I am worried about a few packages that have not been delivered yet - one was guaranteed over-night delivery.

Yes, there are things I will do different next year.

Anyway, I am going to leave my studio here in the next few minutes and try to enjoy my Christmas!
